Don't Know Much About...

the library staff's background...

We're a pretty zany bunch here at the library (yes, that's right...ZANY!). Our backgrounds can help the classes of St. Mary's Prep, SS Cyril and Methodius Seminary and Madonna University. With our past experiences, we can help guide research and enhance what happens in your classroom!

Christine Ayar has a bachelors degree from Central Michigan University in Entrepreneurship and a second degree in Sports Administration. Her Masters of Library and Information Science (MLIS) focused on digital libraries and digital archiving at Wayne State. In Winter 2008 she will start her M.A. in Theology.

Judy Edwards has a B.S. in Education from Wayne State University specializing in Recreation and Physical Education. She also has an Associates Degree in Auto Body Design from Macomb Community College and she worked in the engineering field at GM, Budd Compnay, and Detroit Water and Sewerage Department. Judy received her MLIS from Wayne State.

Mary Gunn has her bachelors degrees in both English and Biology from Eastern Michigan University. Her MLIS from Wayne State focused on academic librarianship and medical librarianship.

Karen Majewski, the rare books specialist, has a bachelors degree and a masters degree in English and a Ph.d. in American Culture.

So as you can see, we can help you with many topics and areas of research. Stop by to see how the library staff can work with you to enhance student learning!
